Believe it or not, this luxurious bungalow kitchen used to be "Grandma's Kitchen" complete with asbestos tile flooring, bright yellow cabinets, and turquoise painted walls and woodwork. The Peterson's have brought the bungalow back to life with an all new kitchen design meant to complement the original architecture.
The original douglas fir flooring was uncovered and refinished to match the new custom cabinets. The wall cabinets have custom made leaded glass designed to match windows in other parts of the house. Art nouveau accent tiles adorn the backsplash, which is made from reclaimed crackle finish subway tiles. Antique door and drawer hardware and a stunning three-pulley light fixture anchor this kitchen to its past, while new stainless steel appliances give it a modern touch while maintaining a traditional style. |
